De Tai Tong Cafe (大东酒楼) @ Lebuh Cintra, Penang
The famous dim sum teahouse, De Tai Tong Cafe (大东酒楼) is a very old Chinese coffee shop nestled amid the bustling and historical city of Penang - George Town, the Unesco World Heritage Site.
Dim sum, literally meaning “To touch your heart” are either steamed in the bamboo baskets or deep fried. The assortment of delicacies is then wheeled around on carts table by table.
This was only my third visit so far. I suddenly recalled many years ago, super dad brought me here once when I was still in secondary school. Time flies…
Our satisfying dim sum breafast, washed it all down with a pot of Chinese tea.
