Frankfurt Christmas Market @ Birmingham, UK

December 24, 2010 · Posted in UK · Comment

Thanks for revisiting, hope you enjoy reading & have fun!!

Birmingham’s Frankfurt Christmas Market is the largest outdoor Christmas Market in the country. Now in its 10th year. There are hundreds over stalls offering Christmas decorations, jewellery and craft goods. One can also enjoy the German beer, grilled sausages, pretzels and local snacks.

We went there twice. The second time, wasn’t fun at all. It was freaky cold!! Then I fall sick…till now…getting better, at least I can blogging :-)

The Farm @ Solihull, UK

December 17, 2010 · Posted in UK · 4 Comments

The Farm pub and restaurant in Solihull offers a wonderful social dining experience in an historic grade II listed farmhouse and barn.
The Inn at the Farm is a place of glamorous simplicity. Sit back, relax and enjoy a drink from a great range of beers, cask ales and wine, followed by a bite to eat from our fabulous bar food menu.

The Old Dairy Barn, circa 1700, with its striking vaulted ceiling, exposed beams and wealth of old world features, has a more upbeat feel. Offering the same excellent selection of drinks, the main restaurant (with a private dining room attached) offers some of the best food that Solihull and Warwickshire has to offer. When you add to this its famously posh salad bar, 25% discount for early diners and its’ sun-soaked deck you may never want to leave.”

I was longing for authentic Portuguese food all this while. So, since I was in Macau ^^ I decided to give my 1st try to A Lorcha, one of the great Portuguese restaurants in Macau. Guess what, I called them up at 7pm but the only booking we could get was 9pm…

It was a tad salty but tasty, would be nicer if it served with some dips.

The Eclectic Lounge & Restaurant

“Situated along Jalan Batu Ferringhi (opposite Golden Sands Hotel car park), The Eclectic is the latest establishment under the YKH Group of Restaurants, which also helms Thirty-Two at The Mansion, Bagan and Beach Blanket Babylon.

You can’t help but notice the bright lights and classy interior as you drive along Batu Ferringhi. Once inside our friendly staff will usher you to a lounge area where you can chill out and order your meal, before being seated at immaculately set-up tables. The cosy interior is ornamented with little touches like myriads of photos, glass bead curtains and man made waterfall to give it a homely feeling, or you can dine al-fresco overlooking beautiful greenery that gently rustles in the breeze. ”

Preservative Free Bread – A Great Way to Start the Day!

The orange loaf and French loaf was from Continental Bakery, one of my favorite bakeries in Penang apart from Rainforest Bakery and Adventist Bakery. They are all well known among the bread lovers in producing healthy, quality and freshly baked breads and pastries.
